Cette "stratégie d'aliénation parentale", consciente ou inconsciente, donne lieu à des situations dramatiques, avec des répercussions toxiques sur le développement de l'enfant, notamment à l'adolescence. Ce que propose cette réédition, afin de parvenir à cette état idéal de lecture, c'est de substituer l'analyse philosophique à l'enchevêtrement des représentations cinématographiques.

Il admire sa force, son intelligence, sa culture, quelque part, le fait qu'il soit un vestige du passé qui ne veut pas passer. Car Dracula, c'est l'immortalité de la féodalité, du temps des Seigneurs, où les valeurs ne se construisaient pas sur le travail et l'argent, mais sur le sang et la guerre.
Dracula, l'anti-moderne. Moins violent que le syndicalisme, Dracula pourrait se lire comme un traité de résistance à la société industrielle que plus rien ne peut arrêter en 1897, lors de la parution du texte. La présente édition est la reproduction de la première édition française en 1920 chez l'Edition Française Illustrée.
